WIP Wednesday (October ‘24)

Hola from Barcelona!

I didn’t post a Finished Friday from last month seeing as I was away for most of it and unable to really finish anything (except one!) so I can only hope to be able to lump September’s FF with October’s. Similarly, this month’s WIP Wednesday will be a short one, but it’s okay, I’m still chugging away.

VesterbyCrea No.35 Cable Jumper

Although I promised myself I would not buy any more yarn until I finished up the huge stash of abandoned projects in my cupboard, I did buy this yarn (Filcolana Peruvian Wool in Eucalyptus) because I wanted a portable project which would be easy enough to carry around (only one colour and doesn’t come in huge skeins) and easy enough to tackle (no super complicated stitches which require constant examination of the pattern - having said that, I would be checking the cable pattern just to make sure…).

I did my first proper swatches + blocking because I've always been too lazy to do them properly (I usually do a swatch, disregard it and knit anyway, before being disappointed by the poorly fitting end result) and have cast on and knit the first few rows. I'm absolutely obsessed with this colour – it's sooooo beautiful and the wool feels so luscious.

I haven't cast on anything else this month as I still have a few WIPs and haven't been at home to finish them. So it’s a very short update from me this month!
